ENF vs E1: What Luxfit Means by Healthier Board Air
How Luxfit talks about board health in Uganda — USP ENF language on engineered pages, and the locked product split: E0 for particle boards, E1 for 11-layer plywood.
Why the labels matter in Kampala
Uganda’s heat and humidity put real stress on cabinetry cores and adhesives. Buyers comparing low-formaldehyde claims need a clear map: E0 / E1 grades versus Luxfit’s published ENF health language on Engineered for Uganda and the glossary.
Commercial product pages state E0 for particle boards and E1 for plywood because of the 11-layer core. This is not a blanket ENF replacement across every product page.
Quick comparison
| Label | Where used | Remember |
|---|---|---|
| E0 | Particle board lines | Particle-board cabinetry is specified as E0. |
| E1 | 11-layer plywood lines | Plywood cabinetry is specified as E1 with the 11-layer core. |
| ENF | USP / glossary / engineered pages | Extra No Formaldehyde targeting 0.025 mg/m³ (USP V.1). |
Particle board E0
Particle board and Luxfit high-density Particular Board are flat, anti-warp workhorses for large fronts. The locked product-page grade language for particle boards is E0. Particular Board sits in the 700–800 kg/m³ band for doors up to 2.7 m; MDI bonding supports water resistance versus typical retail particle board.
11-layer plywood → E1
Luxfit’s flagship 11-Layer Plywood uses eleven cross-bonded veneer layers about 40% more structural stability than typical five-to-seven layers — for kitchens and bathrooms where moisture and load matter. Product-page plywood language is E1 because of that 11-layer construction.
Where ENF still leads
USP V.1 keeps ENF-Grade Health ( 0.025 mg/m), MDI medical-grade adhesive, Nano-Carbon / Baking Paint coatings, and CNC 0.1 mm precision as the engineered story. Product pages follow the E0 / E1 material split.
